Riley Porter Update
Riley is doing better. He has good and bad days. It looks good one day and ugly the next. He has a great attitude and is one cool little dude. We have to wait and see how it heals before we can consult a surgeon. Riley says "chicks dig scars" so he has been fantastic through the whole thing. I'm sorry the dog thing has stirred things up but I would never want this to happen to another kid EVER!!!! I never thought in a million years it would happen to mine. Kevin and I appreciate everybody sticking by us in this trying time. Medical bills are still outstanding but I would pay whatever to have my kid any day. He is sad he missed the show. He said he is coming this month with a vengeance and try his best to go fast!!!!! He's funny. He still hasn’t lost his smile which we thank heavens for!!!!!

Riley, we all hope you're feeling better and look forward to seeing you back at the arena.
2008 Administration
I am honored with the responsibility of being voted the next president of the Lee County Posse Arena. I pledge to do the job to the best of my ability. Bill Cross will not be an easy act to follow. Bill contributed countless hours to a thankless task. While he will not completely disappear from the scene, we all really appreciate everything he has done for the arena.
The remainder of the board will consist of Bobbi Harrison who will stay as vice-president, Annette Detzel has been voted in as secretary, Kathy Cross will stay as treasurer and Becky Pavel has been voted in as the new event coordinator.
(If you need to reserve the arena, please call Becky at 872-0432)
Sherry Cody has stepped down as event coordinator and will be phasing herself out of running the Friday night jackpots by Jan. 2009. We would like to find someone to take that over between now and then. We would also like to thank Sherry for her many years of help. She has been a huge asset to the arena.
We will continue to have our monthly meeting with the next one being on June 19th at 7:30 pm. You are welcome to attend.
If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to give me a call at 233-9116 or email me at scott@spurgeon.com.
Thank you,
Scott Spurgeon

4-D Barrel Race
All riders, regardless of ability, run in the same 4-D barrel race. The four divisions are then determined by time brackets. With the 4-D format, the OVERALL fastest time of the race is used to set the time brackets for the four divisions.
1st Division: These are the riders with the fastest times.
2nd Division: These are competitors who ran ONE-HALF (1/2) SECOND or SLOWER than the OVERALL fastest time.
3rd Division: These are competitors who ran ONE (1) SECOND or SLOWER than the OVERALL fastest time.
4th Division: These are competitors who ran TWO (2) SECONDS or SLOWER than the OVERALL fastest time.
